Get your blog noticed

You have quality content on your blog and a good deal of information that you know the readers will benefit. However, somehow besides your family and friends reading your blog, you do not have much traffic. What is your next step?

Your next step would depend on how much money you are willing to spend on your blog to get it noticed. If money is not an issue at all, then you can go all out and advertise your blog on all the possible websites with a great page rank. You can also advertise on websites and forums that have a very good traffic. Namepros, DP, Google, Yahoo...and many more. But what if you do not want to spend any money till you start making money from your blogs or any other services that you offer online? That's where free blog directories will help your blog get noticed tremendously.

While surfing a couple of days back, I came across several blog directories. All you need to do is register with them for free by filling in a few details and your blog will be on the blog directory. The best part is that you can register on as many blog directories as you want and for nothing at all. Listed below are a few blog directories that I recommend and I will register with them as soon as I am done posting here! :-)

Attitude Wins!

It's not your talent or gift at birth,
It's not your bank balance that determines your worth,
It's not the color or the texture of your skin,
It's only your ATTITUDE that let's you win!

I came across this very interesting message written on a colleague's whiteboard and it got me thinking. It's so true! Only if everyone thought this way, our lives would be so much better.

While looking for some writing projects, all of us can relate to this message and be successful. When writing to your prospective clients, let your emails reflect confidence and the right attitude. No one, absolutely no one is very thrilled to receive an email from a person who can't assure the client of a job well done. Since the freelance writing world strives majorly on emails, it becomes imperative to give the right impression the very first time. Initially, you may make a couple of mistakes but you will only learn from them.

Implement different strategies if you do not receive any responses to your emails. Once you start receiving responses from the emails that you have sent, make a note of the strategies that you have used and jot down the ones that have been successful. Use the same or improve if you wish and see some major writing projects coming your way.

All the best! Cheers!
