Little Leaps

Guest written by our friend Gladys Fuentes

I bought a Leap Pad toy at the consignment salefor my daughter. It is the one called “Little Leaps,” and it comes with a little box with 3 different shapes/joysticks, a pad to dance/walk on, and several games. Does anyone know anything about this product? Do you have to have Cable television for it to work, or is just a television enough? I am hoping to be able to put it in the playroom for the kids, and keeping it set up always so they can just turn it on and play it, without having to disrupt the family cable tv system in the living room. There is not a cable connection in the playroom, however. We have an old, small television that has input and output holes on the front, but I’m not sure what they are for, or if they will work for the Little Leaps games. The tv does have VHS capabilities, if that matters. Because I got this at consignment, I don’t have the original packaging or instructions, so I’m trying to find this information on my own.

Speeding ticket

Guest written by our friend Gladys Fuentes
My husband recently went on a trip out of town. He took my new car because it gets better gas mileage than his car. My car is really cute and bright red. It is small, and can zip around town very quickly, and it is always easy to find a parking space because of its size. Anyway, I reluctantly let him use my car for his road trip for business. He got back when he had planned and things went on as normal. Then I needed to buy something one day and asked him to give me some money. He said he was a little short and needed to wait a few days. He had just gotten paid so I was wondering why he was so broke. Then he confessed that he had gotten a speeding ticket while he was out of town. He was going to have to pay it by the next Tuesday or go to court in the other state to fight the ticket. I asked how much the ticket was and he reluctantly told me $450.00. That man gets more tickets than anyone I know. Plus he told me he was not allowed to drive in that state for the next six months. I told him to just go online with our http://www.clearwirelessinternet.com and pay the ticket. It would cost more in gas to drive back over there plus he wasn’t even supposed to drive in that state for six months. I don’t know how he gets in these messes.

Tracking down some really great vintage pieces

Any time that I set out to track down a very specific kind of piece of vintage clothing, it's exciting like it's a treasure hunt. I guess that it would help more if I actually found some gold that would help me pay off my student loans, but you can't wear gold. So I stick to finding dresses and things like that. I just love wearing a prize of all that vintage shopping.
I use my clear a lot to find some of this stuff. I get in touch with store owners, find new stores and bid on stuff on auction sites. But most of the time I definitely prefer to see and try on the pieces in person rather than bid for it on an auction site. It's important to actually look at the piece from all angles so that you can see if it has anything wrong with it.
I do a whole lot of thrift store shopping too. Not everything I wear is vintage. I've found some of my favorite pieces at thrift stores, plus it helps fill out the rest of my wardrobe at a really great price.
