Poker Strategy: this poker method is actually paying off.

I have been using the B.H. method lately. Finishing in the money a lot more, very close to final tables, but not quite there yet. And truth be told, I don't apply every single aspect of the method, because I've been trying to "mix up" my game.

Poker News: PokerTek: Lightning Poker's patent lawsuit is without merit


SAN FRANCISCO, Mar. 5, 2008 (Thomson Financial delivered by Newstex) -- PokerTek Inc. (NASDAQ:PTEK) said Wednesday it believes the allegations outlined in Lightning Poker's announcement about its patent infringement lawsuit are without merit.

Late Tuesday, Lightning Poker said it filed suit against PokerTek, alleging that PokerTek infringes a Lightning Poker patent that 'relates generally to an electronic poker table with a center monitor screen showing multiple community cards and betting information for each player.'

Is PartyGaming's room a bit pokey?


If it's not one thing then it's another. Straight after online poker group PartyGaming announced that chief exec Mitch Garber was cashing in his chips and resigning as chief exec, the company has been dealt another duff hand.

It has long sponsored the felts of the World Series of Poker tables, the game's premium event which takes place in Las Vegas each year. The gig's so huge that last year's winner bagged an even bigger purse than Garber himself, and yesterday the prestigious sponsorship was scooped by rival Everest.

Poker News: Doyle Brunson backs Obama


We've been hearing a little about how some pro athletes are jumping on the endorsement bandwagon of one presidential candidate or another.

That word that yet-to-play top NBA draft pick Greg Oden is backing Barack Obama created so much stir is really indicative of how glaringly inactive athletes have generally been in the political arena. Oden's endorsement of Obama was accompanied by a similar endorsement by Charles Barkley but with Sir Charles, the message is sometimes obscured by the delivery (i.e. conservatives are "fake Christians").
